The violations of human rights and election code in Georgia

The violations of human rights and election code are continuing in regions. The agitators of the political movement “Justice for Georgia” are forced to quit working. The pressure on our representatives is rising from the local government and MIA officials. We are sending you the descriptions of facts from 9th of March to 12th.
Khobi
In Khobi, on Tsotne Dadiani str. Dato Akhalaia, the Head of Khobi region MIA Department Criminal Police took away and tore program questionnaire from Tamuna Kordzaia and Irma Matua – participants of “door by door” program. The mentioned person also threatened the participants.
Bela Nizharadze, “door by door” program participant is forced not to continue to perform her activity in village Sajijao, where lives Igor Tkebuchava, Khobi region Governor. Group, created by the Governor instruction, called village population not to participate in “door by door” program and Bela Nizharadze was forced to leave the village. Bela’s father was also threatened.
Presently B. Nizharadze can no more perform activity defined by “door by door” program. But she still remains the movement activist.
Some unanimous persons acting according to the local Government instructions warn all the participants of “door by door” program that they will not get their salary and they work in vain. They are trying to deliver participants from the program.
Borjomi
In village Chobiskhevi, Nana Meskhishvili, “door by door” program participant was against Giorgi Makharashvili, district inspector who forbade her to perform her activity and call the people not to participate in “door by door” program questionnaire. In other case she would face problems.
Attorneys in each region of Georgia fair and threat population to cancel social aid and different privileges if they participate in the events performed by “Justice for Georgia” including “door by door” program.
Keda
In village Akho some persons under the Attorney instructions walk through the village and spread proclamations among population to vote for National Movement in the elections. In return for this they say that their neighbor Genadi Tavdgiridze who serves his sentence for criminal law case (person death in car accident) will be released from the sentence.
2. In each village of Keda region, Attorneys fair and threat population to cancel social aid and other privileges if they participate in the events performed by “Justice of Georgia” including “door by door” program.
Ozurgeti
Avtandil Mekvabishvili, the Governor of Ozurgeti region invited all Heads of the region budget organizations (directors of a school, children’s’ garden, hospital, ensembles and etc) on a meeting and called them to vote for National Movement. He charged them to bring data of ID cards of their employees and to establish to which voting district they belong. As it seems they need to do this for elections manipulations.
Kazbegi
In Kazbegi region, police and government representatives fair and threat population and by this they forbid population to have any relation with the movement. Vazha Geladze, Head of Kazbegi regional organization, and his relatives are threaten.

Tbilisi
On March 9 of the current year in common dwelling of the Technical University (address: #41 Gamsakhurdia ave.) Tsismari Jorbenadze, “door by door” program representative, was outraged by Gocha Gvaramia, living in the same block of flats and he took away questionnaires. Gocha gVaramia is the Head of partnership and is working on the position of Deputy Director of Apkhazia A/R Government Media Center.
Shuakhevi
Sandro Sharamidze, businessman living in village Chala came against one of the candidates of “Justice for Georgia” in Shuakhevi and forced with threat not to participate in the elections.
P.S. Today, on 11.03.2010 Nodar Kartsivadze, the Head of Shuakhevi regional organization held press-conference in Batumi in the connection to the above mentioned.
Dedoplistskaro
Nino Kadagishvili, activist of “Justice for Georgia” Dedoplistskaro regional organization who participates in “door by door” program in village Sabatlo came against Davit Gundadze, living in this village and forbade continuing the activity. Also he threatened her to retire from the job if she will continue her activity in opposition. Nino Kadagishvili is working as teacher.
Khashuri
Today (11.03.10) unanimous man called on home phone of Tamuna Abramishvili, member of “Justice for Georgia” Khashuri regional organization and with threatened tone ordered her to cancel her activity in the party. In the other case she would regret. Also he threatened to destroy the documentation which comes to the party office for questionnaire.
“In the morning when the party members appeared in the office, entrance door lock was broken and the door was open. Everything inside was in order”.
Khulo
In village Riketi Jambul Shamanadze, cousin of commissary of the village came against Zaza Kochaladze, “door by door” program participant. Jambul Shamanadze was acting under commissary of the village (Temur Shamanadze) instructions and he forbade Zaza Kochaladze to perform his activity in the village. In the other case he threatened to exclude his brother from university and dismiss his sister from a school (his sister is a teacher).
In village Tkotsa a unanimous person threw a letter in “door by door” program participant Maguli Beruashvili garden. The letter says that in the case if she will make an exact registration, they will arrest her. Also there is written some threatening texts.
Akhmeta
From today morning (12.03.2010) in villages of Akhmeta region police and local government cars move actively, which threaten population not to attend the meeting planned to be held with Zurab Nogaideli, the head of “Justice for Georgia”. Japar Margoshvili came against also Giorgi Rtvelidze, “Justice for Georgia” Kakheti region coordinator. They disputed. Most of the population, faired with this fact, kept off to attend the meeting.
Gurjaani
1. From today morning (12.03.2010) in the villages of Gurjaani region police and local government cars move actively, which threaten population not to attend the meeting planned to be held with Zurab Nogaideli, the head of “Justice for Georgia”. Police men stopped all drivers of buses and forbade them to transport people from villages to the region destination at the planned meeting. Citizens in the buses who were going to attend the meeting were forced to come out form the transport and not to go to the meeting.
2. Representatives of National Movement and district inspectors were standing near schools and bus stops in each village and were forbidding population to travel in order to attend planned meeting with Zurab Nogiadeli, the Head of “Justice for Georgia”.
3. During the meeting in Gurjaani, police men were writing down state numbers of busses by which the population was transported from villages and they recorded on camera the faces.
Lagodekhi
Manana Chalakheshashvili and Mariam Mchedlishvili, “Justice for Georgia” district coordinators, denied to perform their activity because of pressing upon them form the side of legal organs colleges.
Kvareli
On March 12 the government appointed Levan Gamsakhurdia, Kvareli Governor on the position of the Head of Elections headquarters. This fact directly indicates that the government illegally uses recourses for elections process. P.S. Davit Chotilashvili plans to hold press conference in the connection of the above mentioned.
The political movement “Justice for Georgia” condemns the illegal actions of government. The risk of continuing this kind of actions is high and we will inform you about other facts in the future.
